Greetings with Bountiful Blessings from God,
We have approached the One-Hundred-Sixteenth Annual Session of the South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian EducationWe are ready and excited. We are hopeful that your travel to the campus of Brookland Baptist Church was a pleasant one.
Our theme this year is Reaching the Wanders Through Christian Education.
Hebrews 10:23-25 reminds us to: "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching".
This week's coming together will highlight teaching, interacting, Christian fellowship, preaching of the word of God, youth interactions, praise dancing, and meals together in the Brookland Baptist Conference Center Cafe'.
The Sunday night welcome service will be under the direction of our worship leader, Dr. James Hailstock, Pastor of New Day Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC, followed by a welcome message delivered by Dr. Jamie O. Graham, pastor of St. John Baptist Church, Columbia, South Carolina. After this service, you are invited to fellowship during the president's reception for a meet and greet with First Lady Dixon and me.
We are ecstatic to have Dr. James C. Perkins as the congress consultant and former President of PNBC, Detroit, Michigan.
The President's Sneaker Ball, 7:00 pm Wednesday with Dr. Dee Dee, Colman from Detroit, Michigan, as the Sneaker Ball preacher.
Dr. John McCoy will serve as the educational night preacher.
Dr. T.E. Simmons will be the commencement preacher.
I pray that this annual session brings renewed hope and the presence of the Lord through your daily interactions with others.
Let us all be the hands and feet of Jesus as we listen, hear, and follow His voice.
Dr. Lucious Dixon, President
